Okay, yeah, we know we’re a little late with Mai’s eShop Selects, but come on, it wasn’t E3 season! Still, we’re back again to gather the best deals this month; Of course, it was mostly relatively quiet, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t diamonds lying in their raw form (maybe we were even a little cheeky and included one or two games in the box this month – hey, it was quiet, okay ?! ).
So let’s go then! Well, first circle some honorable mentions that didn’t quite make it into our top three, but are still worth a look.
In the meantime, of course, be sure to check out eShop Selects for April while you’re at it!
OPUS 3: Echo of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition (Switch eShop)
Publisher: Sigono / Software developer: Sigono
In third place is the beautiful narrative title OPUS: Echo of a Star Song. We called it “an emotional adventure that is the highlight of the series so far and easily one of the best story-driven games on Switch” in our review, emphasizing the incredible atmosphere and emotional weight of the story.

2. PAC-MAN MUSEUM + (Switching)
Publisher: Bandai Namco / Software developer: Bandai Namco
This month’s silver medal goes to PAC-MAN MUSEUM +, a wonderful selection of some of the most significant editions of this legendary figure over the years. It has a lot to offer, with online rankings and missions to complete, and we just liked how solid the emulation was for each game. Some of the foreign content may have been missing, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that this compilation includes some of the best games of all time.

1. Citizen Sleeper (Switch eShop)
Publisher: Fell’s Traveler / Software developer: Jump over age
And in the first place this month is Citizen Sleeper, a game that many of our employees unanimously enjoyed. His strong narrative and writing can be compared to the amazing Disco Elisium, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful artistic style that was shown together with the great soundtrack for the synth wave. Definitely one to buy if you like strong role playing games!

How we decide that our eShop chooses the three best: As we get to the end of each month, Nintendo Life staff vote for their favorite titles from a list of games selected by the editorial team. To qualify for this list, these games must be released only as a digital Nintendo Switch eShop title in that particular month and must be reviewed on Nintendo Life; we choose qualifying games based on their review results.
Staff are then asked to vote for three games they feel deserve to sit at the very top of that list; the first choice got 3 points, the second choice got 2 points, and the third choice got 1 point. These votes are then added up to make a list of the top three, and the overall winner will take home the grand prize that month.
