Amber Heard seems to be pinching money now that she owes her ex-husband Johnny Depp $ 8.4 million in damages.
The “Aquaman” star was spotted on Thursday shopping at the TJ Mack discount store in the Hamptons.
Sources told The Post in early June that the 36-year-old actress was “broke” because of the high legal costs associated with the trial for her and Depp’s bomb – even before she was ordered to pay millions for defamatory statements.
Asked if the actress had the means to cover the jury’s verdict, her lawyer Elaine Bredehoft said: “Oh, no, absolutely not.”
Still, Hurd was shopping at TJ Mack in Bridgehampton, New York – where the average house costs about $ 3.8 million according to Zilou – so she probably doesn’t use her credit cards in a large chain of boxes.

She was accompanied by her sister, Whitney Henriquez, who was with her throughout the trial and testified on her behalf.
It’s not clear what, if anything, Heard bought at TJ Makk.
Several sources told the Post that Heard relied on her homeowner’s insurance policy to cover the costs of her lawyers.
Depp sued Hurd for $ 50 million after she wrote that she became “a public figure who represents domestic abuse” in the text of the Washington Post in 2018, and won all three of his defamation lawsuits against her. In the meantime, Heard received only one of the three defamation lawsuits she filed against “Pirates of the Caribbean” in a counter-suit of 100 million dollars.
Its net worth is estimated at between 1.5 and 2.5 million dollars, according to Celebrity Net Worth and other media – which is far from what Depp owes.
The court testimony revealed that Hurd was paid one million dollars for “Aquaman” from 2018, and another two million for the sequel, which will be premiered next year. Her role in that film was significantly reduced.
Heard also never kept her promise to donate the $ 7 million she received from Depp in the 2016 divorce settlement to the American Civil Liberties Union and the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
