The upcoming game of DC superhero VB Montreal, Gotham Knights, will feature the largest version of the cult city of Gotham ever seen in a video game.
In an interview with Game Informer, game director Jeff Eleanor was asked how the version of the capital of DC, Gotham Knights, is compared to the open-world Gotham seen in Batman: Arkham Knight.
“It’s pretty big,” Eleanor said. “I didn’t put one map over another, but our Gotham is a great place.”
Executive producer Fleur Marti added: “It is certainly the largest version of Gotham presented in video games. The most important thing for us is its density and verticality. There are many layers. The bicycle is a way of transporting long distances. ”
The map of Arkham Knight was approximately five square kilometers and consisted of three islands and several counties. The enormous size of Gotham is made possible by the inclusion of Betmobile, which helped you travel through its vast landmass speed and style. The Gotham Knights may not have a Batmobile, but it does have a Bicycle and other travel mechanics, whether it’s the Fast Bat system, or things like Nightwing’s Flying Trapeze.
