Elona Maska’s daughter legally changes her name and breaks off her relationship with her father

Elon Musk’s 18-year-old daughter has legally changed her name to separate from her billionaire father, according to legal submissions released Monday.

“I no longer live or want to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form,” she said in a petition for a name change and a new birth certificate.

Musk’s daughter also changed her gender recognition from male to female after she turned 18, which is the age of consent in California.

The documents were filed with the Los Angeles High Court in Santa Monica in April and recently came to light in online media reports.

Her new name has been redacted in an online document. Her mother is Justin Wilson, who was married to Elon from 2000 to 2008, when she divorced him. Musk and Wilson have five children together. Musk also has two children with singer Grimes.

Wilson tweeted Tuesday that she did proud her daughters. She did not immediately respond to an additional request for comment.

“I had a weird childhood,” my 18 year old said to me. “I can't believe I'm as normal-seeming as I am.”

I said, “I'm very proud of you.”

“I'm proud of myself!”

Representatives of Musk’s daughter could not be reached immediately.

There were no more details about the rift between Musk’s daughter and her father, the boss of Tesla and SpaceX.

Musk, the richest man in the world, is engaged in a high offer of 44 billion dollars to take over the social media platform Twitter. On Tuesday, Twitter’s board unanimously recommended that shareholders approve the proposed sale, according to a regulatory submission. Musk reiterated his desire to continue the acquisition last week during a virtual meeting with employees on Twitter, although the CEO also pointed out that there are several “unresolved issues” regarding the contract.

In a statement for the Daily Beast, Musk criticized the media for publishing a story about his daughter and her name.

“She does not want to be a public figure,” he said. “I think it’s important to defend her right to privacy. Please don’t kick someone out against their will – that’s not right. ” Musk did not immediately respond to an additional request for comment.

A hearing to finalize the name change will be held later this month.
